Demand They Drop the Charges Against Adrian ANDREW Martinez
Adrian ANDREW Martinez, a 20-year-old born and RAISED U.S. citizen, WHILE attempted to advocate for an elderly janitor, masked federal agents violently assaulted & abducted Adrian. He now faces a federal felony charge — despite no evidence of assault — in what appears to be a retaliation meant to justify excessive force. We demand the DOJ drop the charge immediately.
WHAT HAPPENED:
On June 17, 2025, Adrian Andrew Martinez, a 20-year-old U.S. citizen born and raised in Los Angeles County, was violently assaulted and abducted by masked federal agents outside the Walmart in Pico Rivera, where he was taking a work break. According to bystanders and video footage, Adrian was attempting to advocate for an elderly janitor who was being approached by federal agents.
Without any verbal explanation or display of credentials, multiple masked agents in tactical gear tackled Adrian to the ground, restrained him with force, and placed him in a black SUV. The disturbing video of the incident, shared widely on social media and covered by CBS, FOX, and KTLA, shows Adrian never throwing a punch or resisting violently, directly contradicting claims made by federal authorities.
Adrian’s mother and family were left in the dark for over 24 hours, with no information about where he had been taken or why. Agencies denied holding him despite video evidence of his capture. This forced his family and community to mobilize immediately, demanding answers from local officials and national media.
Rallies were held outside Pico Rivera City Hall and the Adelanto ICE Processing Center, while lawmakers including State Senator Bob Archuleta, Rep. Linda Sánchez, and CHIRLA intervened to help locate Adrian.
Adrian was eventually released, but is now facing a federal conspiracy charge — a move many see as retaliation for speaking out and a legal attempt to justify the violent tactics used against him.
Pico Rivera community rallies after video shows ICE agents arresting U.S. citizen.
“My son is a U.S. citizen. He stood up for what was right, and for that, he was taken from us.
For over 24 HOurs, we didn’t know where he was — they denied him the basic dignity of a phone call. As a mother, I will not stay silent while they try to punish him for speaking out. We just want justice, and we want him home.”
